Worship Ministry
Helping people
experience God and develop a life of worship
Ms. Nikki Scott - Worship Minister
Leading the congregation
in authentic worship and creating sacred space where God can produce
authentic worshippers.
Our hearts starve for
God’s presence. People around the world crave to worship and honor
God and our Savior Jesus Christ. Worship satisfies that longing and
craving.
The purpose of the
Worship Ministry of New Life Christian Church is to encourage all
people to leave worship feeling spiritually full and in the wonder
and awe of the presence of God and our Savior Jesus Christ. The
Worship Ministry of New life Christian Church is to sing songs unto
the Lord that will provoke the congregation to not only join in the
worship experience, but to have an individual experience with God
themselves so that the hearts of the people will be prepared to
receive Word of God.
Along with preparing
hearts to receive the preached word, worship participants are also
encouraged to boldly seek God’s Word for themselves through personal
study; - there the true nature of genuine worship is found.
Worship is an ACT of
reverence. This idea indicates there is action in the ACT of
worship. Psalm 63 states “My lips will praise you” (vs.3) and my
mouth shall praise you with joyful lips. (vs.5) “Numerous times in
the Psalms, we are taught to sing to the Lord a new song.”
New Life Christian
Church consists of people who believe true worship is to “love the
Lord our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with our
entire mind, and with all our strength” (Mark 12:30). We are
committed to helping people of every background encounter God with
their intellect (mind), with their emotions (soul), with their
bodies (strength), and with their choices (heart). When people are
given the opportunity to experience God in worship on all four
levels of human experience they are empowered to give themselves
back to God more fully.
“Worship is the total
adoring response of [humankind] to the one eternal God,
self-revealed in time.” Evelyn Underhill
“Worship is the
submission of all our nature to God….The most selfless emotion of
which our nature is capable.” William Temple
